Kaltura Quick Tasks
This is a list of basic quick tasks for you to practice and become more familiar with the Kaltura software. The estimated time and how-to’s for each task are listed with them. Estimated time is total time doing the task, viewing some of the how-tos, and downloading software if needed.
Kaltura has put together a PDF of How-tos for frequently used features. Many of these will overlap with the testing list below. You can find that PDF on Google Drive here.

1 - Create an introductory video using each platform (~ 10 minutes)
We’d like this to be about 1 minute w/slides so you can really test it out. Here’s a 3 slide presentation on Google Slides for you to use if you’d like.
**Although videos are automatically captioned, the captioning does take time. Turn around is fairly quick so please give it a few hours before sending issues about non-captioning video.

Adding Kaltura video using Insert Stuff button
Brightspace is making this interesting for us. The editor interface is changing so the insert stuff button will look like one of these two options.

Insert video using Add Exiting Activities
You can also insert videos in the same manner as was used for Knowmia.
Click Existing Activities and then Add Kaltura Media. Then just choose the video from the list.

6 - Create a short quiz (~ 7 minutes)
Create video quizzes to help with video comprehension or feedback. You can view all quiz answers from the Analytics section of your video quiz.
Everyone can practice creating a video quiz. For those using Brightspace, also practice linking your quiz to the Gradebook.
Brightspace How-to
*Please read the “Introduction” section about linking your quiz to the Gradebook. It has different behavior depending on how you add the video quiz. We advise adding a Video Quiz through the Insert Stuff button with caution. It acts a little differently.
